Margret Meagher elected Distinguished Fellow of the Society for the Arts in Healthcare
Executive director of Arts and Health Australia, Margret Meagher is one of 20 people, elected from a field of 300, to be designated as a 2011 Distinguished Fellow of the Society for the Arts in Healthcare (SAH) for "outstanding vision, leadership and commitment to excellence in the field of the arts in healthcare".

The Awards for Recognition as a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for the Arts in Healthcare were presented by Dr Gary Christenson, Co-Chair of the Awards committee and SAH Board President and Sarah Dobbs, Co-Chair of the Awards committee at a special ceremony at the SAH 22nd annual international conference on 15 April 2011.
Margret Meagher gave a presentation at the SAH conference on Effective Creative Ageing Strategies, drawing on her work in retirement villages in Australia. Over 450 delegates attended the conference during the 4 day program.
